With 966 inland lakes and over 400 miles of streams and rivers we offer the canoe and kayak enthusiast a full assortment of opportunities for all skill levels. The headwaters to both the Namakagon and the St. Croix Rivers are located within the Cable Area. These two rivers form the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, a National Park. The St. Croix National Scenic Riverway provides you with the rare opportunity to travel on the river and camp at any of the many campsites located along the river absolutely free.
