Grand View Firehouse 50 - August 4th, 2012The Grand View Firehouse 50 Bicycle Road Race and Tour is one of the largest and oldest citizen road races in the Midwest, celebrating its 33rd year. Hosting over 1200 riders each year, this event features professional chip timing, medical sweep and nutritional support throughout the course, a professional and often humorous announcer, and best of all, the course travels through the pristine Chequamegon National Forest on very well maintained black top roads. Compete the next day for the Best of Both award by running the 15k race. Sunday celebrates a homecoming picnic with kids games, music, food, raffles, a 2 mile family fun run, 5k and 15k foot races. This weekend events are a part of the annual fundraising efforts of the Grand View Fire Department.
