The Drummond Area School District is located in the heart of the Chequamegon National Forest serving the towns of Barnes, Cable, Delta, Drummond, Grand View, Kelly, Lincoln, Mason, Namakagon, Highland and the Village of Mason. Covering a geographic area of 720 square miles, the district serves 396 students from four-year-old kindergarten through grade 12. The district is proud of the accomplishments of the students with each of the three schools, elementary, middle and high being recognized multiple times for high academic achievement as Wisconsin Promise Schools of Recognition. The district offers an array of courses through traditional settings, fiber optics and online.

The Forest Lodge Library is a joint public library of the Cable and Namakagon communities and a Northern Waters Library Service member library. Summer residents and regular visitors to the area are eligible for library cards.
